Name: Amy Black Location: Phoenix, AZ Business: Jimmy & Joe’s Pizzera / AmysVintageCloset.com
In 2006 Amy Black and her family opened Jimmy and Joe’s; an award-winning pizzeria in Chandler, Arizona. In 2012 they opened their second store in Mesa. Jimmy and Joe’s has been voted Readers’ Choice “Best Pizzeria” and “Best Slice” by several Arizona publications. I’ve had their pie. It’s the good stuff.
The Black family employs a kick-ass staff, including Amy, who began managing the Mesa location full-time after returning home to the Phoenix area. Amy had spent the last few years managing restaurants and doing it big in San Diego.

I feel like I need to be clear that I would not pay anything approaching $100 for a tie. Some of these things I really like but would look for something similar that was less expensive.
I do plan to own the Ohio U Crew at some point (Go Bobcats!). All of these other things I thought I would collect and uncover for all of you with more disposable money to go and buy and wear on my behalf. OK, I may cop that Supreme Trapper hat, too.
I’m not a fan of bulky, movement-restricting winter coats so for me, the name of the game in the upcoming cold months is layering.
As a design student my ethos was simple: Make it look cool at all cost. My first priority was punchy aesthetics and I forced my preferred style (at this point, organized grunge) on every project.
My first ‘real’ job out of school required I work quickly and tear through assignments–often times at the expense of quality. My portfolio didn’t grow by many pieces but I did become one with my software packages and keyboard shortcuts. I also got to dabble outside of print design into motion graphics and some video production assistance. A little over a year later I applied for a graphic/web design position within the same organization and got the job. My thought was that I wanted to completely understand designing and preparing files for print. Done.
