I thought it was high time that I put one of these together. Just over a minute of my best shots from the last year and change. Let me know what you think in the comments.
1. Visit your foursquare feeds page. Control-click (right click on PC) the KML link and copy it to your clipboard (don’t download it).
2. Visit Google Maps and paste the link you copied into the search box. Hit enter.
Optional Parameter: You can specify a ‘?count=25’ to pull down a different number of checkins from your history. if you are requesting the ICS format, ‘count’ is not used (your entire history is exported)
I’ve done a lot of traveling, both personal and for work over the last couple of years and thought it would be cool to visualize my travels. Here is a Google Map plotting my last 1,000 Foursquare checkins.
Last week I traveled to Berlin, Germany for a 5-day work trip. It was my first visit to Europe and as such I had the idea to make notes on my observations. As I look over the notes on my iPhone it is mainly a list of cultural differences between the United States and Germany, but as the conference included interaction with co-workers and customers from European nations outside of Germany, I do have some reflections on more broad-reaching cultural differences.
